I love to decorate for fall! Especially when I don’t have to spend a lot of time or money on new accessories for the house! With just a few inexpensive items from the craft store, you can make your own beautiful fall leaf pillows!
If you want to learn how to make these easy and creative pillows, go and visit Amy over at Positively Splendid for the full tutorial! Just click here!
I know it is only the 4th, but that means that we only have 20 more days to prep for Thanksgiving! I’ve said it before this year and I’m going to say it again – time is flying!! If your family is anything like mine, everyone shows up to Thanksgiving in their sweats and comfy clothes because we all just hang out and lounge around eating all day. Its glorious!!
I have been to a few “formal” thanksgivings and those are really fun too! I love seeing all the beautiful table-scapes, decorations and place settings. If this sounds more like your family, I have a really cool idea to share with you!
I love that these are just printable place cards and if you have a Silhouette or Cricut machine, they are extra easy to make! Just print them out, cut them out and decorate them however you want! I really like how Julie from EAB Designs made the edges of the leaves look a little burned and aged. There are so many options with these cute place holders. Click here for the full tutorial!
Here in Seattle, it is that perfect time of year. Let me paint the scene for you. People out on walks with their dogs, bundled up with scarves and jackets but still enjoying the blue skies and sunshine. Walking through their neighborhoods enjoying the beautiful weather and the changing of the leaves. Perfection! Am I right?
The only problem with this time of year is that its so short! I feel like one week the leaves will be bright and green and within a week or two they are all gone. I wish there was some way I could preserve the beauty of this season….oh wait! There is!!
Becky from The Mama’s Girls shows us her way of preserving the season in this great tutorial! Its super easy and it just requires two ingredients – one of which is water so does that really count as an ingredient? 🙂 This tutorial also helps to bring out the color in the leaves!
In her post, she also brings up a great point that these leaves would be perfect to use in a center piece or other decorating for fall/Thanksgiving! Head on over to The Mama’s Girls to check out the full tutorial!
Welcome to another edition of Well Crafted Wednesdays! Sorry I’m a little late in posting this…I’ve been feeling pretty sick for the last day or so and in the interest of fairness, I don’t prepare these posts until the day before so everyone’s links can have the longest exposure time possible. Anyways, I’m feeling a little bit better for the moment so I decided to knock this out while I had the energy!
Here are the features from last week’s party:

It is getting closer to fall! I’m starting to notice that the leaves are turning and the weather is slowly but surely getting a little bit colder each week. I’ve been on the lookout for some beautiful fall crafts and this one caught my eye!
Have you ever been to one of those houses for the Holidays and it seems like everything is perfect beyond perfect? The house looks clean, smells like pie, it’s decorated beautifully, and to top it all off, when you sit down for dinner, the table is decorated with beautiful handmade decor.
Sometimes I get insecure when I go to homes like this because, I gotta tell ya, that’s nothing like my house! For this reason, I rarely do any entertaining. Only for special occasions 🙂 I actually like to be the one being entertained haha!
This table setting
is also really natural and fairly easy to create! I love the wine bottle that is wrapped in leaves. It really dresses up the bottle!
We had a little mishap with the link party last week so there wasn’t as many links as usual but that does not mean that the quality was compromised! You guys always impress me with what you come up with and I can’t wait to share these!
To go along with your cute little pumpkins, you can make these bat napkin holders
to make your table complete! So creative and decorative!

Today is officially the first day of Fall and I thought I would share some pictures from around my home! I live in the Pacific Northwest and I think that the seasons are so beautiful around here! We get to experience every season at its best and I wouldn’t have it any other way!
I hope you guys enjoy:
Did you see the pretty spider web at the bottom of the picture? 😀
I thought this little pine cone was so cute!!
My personal favorite!!
I love all the leaves that are glowing red in this picture 🙂
